Paul St Pierre Plamondon has been the leader of the Parti Québécois since October 9, 2020. He joined Norrie on an International call prior to flying to Edinburgh. Paul’s team contacted Caledon Radio for an interview which we were very humbled. Of course Norrie asked first of all how close were Quebec to independence? It was an interesting discussion particularly ‘project fear’ Canadian style wsa identified as the same tactic against Scottish Independence. The monarchy has been a big issue over in Quebec with politicians now refusing to take the oath to a foreign monarch. This has caused much disquiet among traditionalists. Paul maintains we must move with the times. Norrie then asked if Canada was too big a country to serve its people well enough. Paul agreed and cited a recent book he read. ‘ There is a lack of transparency and funding at federal level which we at a local level are struggling to change
