The fantasic songwriter from Glasgow Robert Severin entertained Norrie with  stories of immigration and refugees. His own parents in fact left Hungary at different times when mobile phones and social media were nowhere.  Miraculously they met up again in Scotland. This story led Robert to write Elena an elderly Ukranian woman fleeing war. Robert has the skill to draw listeners deep into his songs and become affected with real life stories. Robert has the silkiest of voices and the production of Postcard from Budapest has captured it perfectly. An album to reflect on how lucky we are perhaps and that we should think of those who have to flee from misery and hardship.
